That Day, I RememberThat day,
Like my mothers smile.
The point of withdrawal.
The turn of my being.
The flames surround me.
My homeits burning, the fire killing, consuming.
I cant find them.
And every time I turn my head,
It falls like snow,
It mingles with bitter smoke.
My eyes water as I choke.
The clashing of metal echoes.
Piercing cries abruptly cut short.
The sound of wings, soft and dangerous, come from above.
And I cant find them.
And every time I rub my eyes,
There are beasts.
The authors of mayhem.
All are here, and he is here, too,
The one father called friend.
Hes with my motherare they talking?
He raises a dagger; its surface catches the fires light.
What is he doing, laughing like thatwhy isnt she moving?
The slice makes my body shudder; I collapse on the muddy earth.
I hate them.
Raven's CallCras, cras,
The raven croaks in the dimming when.
Let ease your sorrow,
I can whisper to the souls of the fallen.
Your dreams I will take,
Ill take you on a journey oer the dunes.
My powers awake,
With the silvery glowing of the fullest moon.

So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
Which is why she walks through the chalky soot of the smashed city around her. This all
